SEWING TECHNOLOGY COURSE OVERVIEW

The Sewing Technology course under the Craft Instructor Training Scheme (CITS) is a specialized training program developed by the Directorate General of Training (DGT), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India. The course is designed to prepare skilled instructors who can train students in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), vocational training institutes, and other technical education centers across the country.

The Craft Instructor Training Scheme has been operational since the early years of the Craftsmen Training Scheme. The first Craft Instructors’ Training Institute was established in 1948 to meet the growing demand for trained instructors in vocational education.
